What is Asthma?
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory
tract. If you have a predisposition of this inflammation,
it causes recurrent attacks of cough, wheeze, having a
sense of pressure in the chest, breathing is difficult.
Inflammation makes the respiratory tract sensitive to allergens,
irritant chemicals, tobacco smoke, cold air or physical
activity. When the effects of edema and spasm affect the
respiratory tract, it produces a high quantity of mucus
and become hypersensitive to external shocks.
Bronchial asthma often begins in the first years of life.
ARI, chronic inflammatory processes in the nasopharynx,
hereditary aggravations, the volatility of the nervous
system etc. are often predispose to disease. Children's
before-spasm time proceeds with nonspecific symptoms: catarrhal
changes in the nose, irritability and anxiety, the violation
of sleep and appetite, conjunctivitis, dry cough, etc.
During spasm a young child has violated breath and asphyxiation
can occur. Spasm of bronchial asthma develops gradually
increasing expiratory shortbreathing, cyanosis appears,
breathing becomes noisy, whistling. Even in the beginning
of spasms appears hard painful cough, sibilant bubbling
rales and separated viscous sputum. Duration of spasm is
different - from several minutes to several hours.
Treating Asthma
When light and short-term spasms, asthma can be treated
at home. Helping activities are to create a calm environment
and greater access of fresh air. It's necessary to take
crouching or sitting position, hot foot or hand bath, with
water temperatures from 37 to 42 C, duration 10-15 min,
inhalations with izadrin for 2-4 times a day, or with alupent
- 1-2 inhalations. Shall also try an bronchodilator means,
for example, ephedrine.
Recommended Medicines
Products with ephedrine are produced very intensively.
All firms are paying great attention to quality control,
so their labels can be trusted - you will receive what
is written. Just use Ephedrine-based drugs such as Bayer
Bronkaid, Bronch-Eze that restores free breathing and loosens phlegm
by its "Dual Action Formula for bronchial asthma and relief
of bronchial congestion". Or you can use Primatene that
reduce spasms of bronchial muscles because of ephedrine
effect. Both of these medicines temporarily relieve: shortness
of breath, wheezing and cough associated with bronchial
asthma, tightness in chest, helps to rid the bronchial
passageways of bothersome mucus and drain bronchial tubes
and helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions.

If you decide to take the mentioned above medicines, there
are some pieces of friendly advice:

turned 18.
